2017 1.6cdti 136 whining noise.

My car has a whining noise which is obvious at idle.
The noise really winds me up when stationary.
It is still audible for like a second after ignition is switched off.
Any ideas as to what it could be?

It could be some bearing - like belt tensioner or alternator bearing. Something which spins and make whinning. Garage should find out then listening to engine.
